Access Control Systems

What We Do

Access Control Systems

An often-overlooked area of security is controlling access to your facility or areas within the facility.

What good are cameras that see every square inch of your facility but only give a view to a crime?Preventing access can protect your proprietary company information and property by stopping a crime from ever occurring.

Controlling access to your building or other normally secure areas can also provide an additional level of safety for building personnel by restricting access from unauthorized people or certain people/employees during certain times. Access control systems can also provide an “inventory” of inhabitants in a facility at any given time, which is information that can be extremely useful in the event of an emergency situation or a natural disaster.

Non-monitored card reader and door releases

Access Control systems in its simplest form is a solution for businesses that have a need to limit employee access to an area or to an entire site based on time.  These systems are generally referred to as non-monitored card reader and door releases. This means that unless someone has an electronic “key” – often referred to as a proximity or access card, they will not be able to open the door.

More sophisticated Access Control systems use bio-metrics that can utilize hand geometry, fingerprint, or facial recognition technology and can easily be customized to allow access by time, employee role (managers vs. Non-managers), or various other methods.

Access Control System

Monitored full access control

Systems can be monitored 24/7 by a central station, which can control the hours in which specific employees can enter the building, as well as which areas they can enter. Alerts about unauthorized access or any access after normal business hours can be sent via text message to the authorized individuals such as facility managers, property owner or property managers as an added measure of security. A central station can also be directed to notify the police on your behalf.

Access control systems can be integrated with your other security systems including security cameras and intrusion alarm systems.
